In 2011, SAHARA signed an agreement with Sharjah Islamic Bank to build its public image by creating content and features, effectively positioning the bank on media platforms. As social media started to pick up momentum over the last five years, SAHARA was assigned to manage the bank’s platforms. Last week, SAHARA was at the bank’s general assembly for the 10th year in a row. In line with Sharjah Islamic Bank’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, the annual meeting was conducted virtually, using video technology. Complying with public safety advice to curb the spread of COVID-19, all attendees participated in the event remotely. The consolidated financial statements for the financial year ending 31st December 2020 were approved at the meeting, in light of the bank’s performance in exceptional economic circumstances.
