SAHARA Communications, the leading media consultancy firm in the UAE predicted that from November onwards, the number of events and conferences held in the region will once again increase.

As the preferred media advisory firm for many of the Middle East’s blue-chip companies, SAHARA has confirmed it will be ready to pick up a business related to the sector – from events companies, manufacturers, promotion agencies, social media services, digital PR, production and all others.

SAHARA’s prediction comes after the announcement from the government that it will now issue permits to event companies to allow them to continue planning events, conferences, and exhibitions as had been done pre-COVID-19.

However, Dr. Marwan Al Najjar, Senior Consultant from SAHARA highlighted that the event management landscape may be slow to take off. He said, “The events business will pick up slowly at first, as people will remain uncomfortable and worried about flying from overseas, due to the uncertainty around travel regulations and having to undergo extra COVID-19 tests. However, a slow return is better than no return, especially for those companies most affected by the lockdown who will find hope and confidence from this progress and see it as things slowly returning to normal. It will give clients a push to restart their business activities and make them realize that although recent times have been challenging, it is not the end of the world and the time has come to get back to work, generate revenue, and get businesses back on track.”
